The Impact of the Business Innovation Act

Invest Nebraska partners with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development to manage the Seed Innovation Fund.
In addition to the Seed Innovation Fund, The Department of Economic Development manages a prototype grant, academic R&D, and SBIR matching grant program. Collectively, these resources create the Business Innovation Act Programs.
The UNL Bureau of Business Research is a leading source for analysis and information on the Nebraska economy. Every two years an Economic Impact Analysis is conducted on the entirety of the Business Innovation Act (BIA). The 2020 report had the following findings:
